Invisalign An Overview

Dr. Diana Pop offers Invisalign® clear aligners for teens and adults who want to straighten their teeth or have mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. Invisalign uses a series of removable aligners to gently reposition teeth. The hard-soft material won’t irritate or damage teeth, gums or jaw joints and many patients will complete their treatment in as little as 6 – 12 months.

Dr. Diana Pop is a Roslyn, NY Invisalign® provider. Invisalign® are clear braces that offer a convenient, discreet and comfortable orthodontic treatment option for teen and adult patients.

Invisalign® vs. Metal Braces

Invisible braces can alleviate many of the hassles associated with traditional metal braces:

  • No dietary restrictions with removable aligners
  • Easy removal for teeth brushing, flossing and routine dental care like your bi-annual teeth cleaning
  • Discreet treatment
  • No risk of tooth enamel damage or staining from permanently attached brackets
  • Smooth, comfortable materials used do not irritate the gums and soft tissues in the mouth

Invisalign What to Expect

The Invisalign process begins with digital impressions taken using the specialized CAD/CAM software. Dr. Pop will send your unique treatment plan to the Invisalign lab
where your custom sets of clear aligners will be made and sent back to our office.

When your aligners are ready, you will return to our office for placing the first aligner and detailed instructions for changing them every couple of weeks. The aligners will gradually reposition the teeth. The number of aligners will be determined by your unique treatment needs and cosmetic goals.

It is recommended that you keep the aligners in place 22 hours a day, which leaves plenty of time for removing to enjoy your favorite foods and daily oral hygiene.

Once treatment is complete, Dr. Pop always recommends the daily use of a retainer for the rest of your life to keep your teeth from shifting.
