What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that shapes and adds volume to the appearance of the eyebrows. The pigment is manually applied to the second upper layers of the skin. Tiny micro cuts are made to the skin while the pigment is applied.  Similar to a tattoo, but not as deep, microblading creates natural fullness and depth to your brow.

Danielle is a skilled artist who works with her clients to create the desired fullness and shape that will enhance their overall appearance.  While preserving as much of the natural brow as possible, Danielle creates your desired look.

Microblading in Roslyn, NY

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that creates hair-like strokes over the eyebrows, giving them a fuller appearance. Using a small blade, your technician will carefully deposit pigment into the skin. Therefore, creating a natural, fuller looking eyebrow. In most cases, patients will need to undergo the microblading procedure at least twice to complete their ideal shape and style.

What happens during the microblading procedure?

During your consultation, you and your technician will spend time discussing your cosmetic goals and your skin type to determine if microblading is right for you.

Your technician will map out the shape and style of your eyebrows to find the best fit for your face. Your technician will also create a personalized pigment shade that is right for you. Once you approve the shape of your eyebrows, a numbing gel will be applied to your eyebrows.

Using a specialized blade, your technician will make hair like incisions using a specialized blade. At the end of the first procedure, patients will have fuller eyebrows that may appear darker than they originally planned. However, over time the eyebrows will heal, and the pigment will lighten.

Depending on your skin type and how the eyebrows heal, you may need to undergo a second touch up procedure. During the touch-up procedure, your technician can make any adjustments to the eyebrows. After the touch-up procedure patients will undergo the healing phase once again.

What happens during the healing process?

The healing process is different for each patient. Your technician will advise you on the proper way to care for your eyebrows after your procedure. Most technicians advise you to keep the eyebrows free of water for 7-10 days. During the healing process, the eyebrows will scab. It is important not to pick the scabs, and let them fall naturally. After the scabs fall, it may appear that the pigment did not take. However, after a few days, the color in your eyebrows will slowly return.
